Special Interests in Attachment Theory, Brain Development, Trauma and Emotional Regulation
I have developed a special interest in the above areas and have had completed lots of training, reading and research into these areas..
I am highly experienced at using knowledge of the above topics to inform my assessment, plans and interventions when working with families. This will help me to gain a better understanding of the holistic needs of your child and family, allowing me to create more effective, personalised Sleep Support Plans.
I am also able to support neurodivergent children and families with children who have experienced trauma and adversity. Please see my Specialist Packages here.

Some relevant training includes:

-Emotional Regulation with Beacon House Therapeutic Services and Trauma Team
Some relevant experience includes:
-Parenting my own two children
-Supporting my own child who is highly sensitive
-Supporting foster carers and parents caring for neurodiverse children and those who have experienced developmental trauma, loss and abuse
-Assessing, planning, implementing, reviewing and evaluating attachment and trauma informed interventions with families whose children were on the edge of the care system.
Many of the parents I have supported have been caring for children with highly complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. The focus of my work has been around supporting parents to create changes to their parenting and lifestyle in order to improve outcomes for their children.
Remote Working and Home Visits
Based in Horsham, West Sussex, I can complete home visits within a 2o mile radius, if you prefer a face-to-face consultation.
Alternatively, I carry out most of my work remotely, enabling me to work with families from across the UK though phone calls, video calls, messaging and emails.
Truly Bespoke Sleep Support Plans
I am highly experienced at working with families to develop realistic, achievable plans to help them to create change within their lives. My ability to undertake robust, detailed and evidence-based assessments means your Sleep Support Plan will not just be focused on changing the behaviours around sleep which are causing you problems- we will also look at the reasons behind these and develop long-term solutions to create lasting change.
Your Sleep Support Plan will be based on approaches that are attachment-informed, evidence-based and consider your child's needs, temperament and personality within the context of your family.
We will consider ways to support you to be able to implement the plan as effectively as possible. I know that as a sleep deprived parent, this may feel impossible. I'll be there to offer guidance and encouragement.
Why choose Sussex Infant and Child Sleep Consultancy?
What does the process look like?
Step 1- Free 15 minute consultation
I offer a free 15 minute consultation within which we can discuss your child's sleep challenges, the type of support you are looking for and your goals. I will suggest which package may best suit your child and family's needs.
Step 2- Documentation and Book Consultation
If you decide to go ahead with one of my packages, we will book in your 1:1 consultation.
I will provide you with a service agreement/contract to sign as well as a questionnaire. 3 day sleep diary, and, 3 day food diary to complete.*
I will ask you to send these completed documents by a specified date, enabling me to analyse this information before our consultation.
*Specialist packages include analysis of 7 day sleep and food diaries.
Step 3- 1:1 consultation
Your 1:1 consultation will take place either face to face or remotely, depending on the package chosen.
We will explore your goals and further information needed to inform the sleep assessment and ensure it is truly bespoke.
We will agree and discuss the Sleep Support Plan and routines in detail, as well as any questions you may have.
Step 4- Support and Check-Ins
If you have chosen the Quarter Moon, Half moon or Full moon package (or any specialist package) you will receive one follow up call each week and unlimited WhatsApp support (within working hours) in between.
You will be fully supported to put the Sleep Support Plan into place and each call gives us the chance to review progress and discuss what is working well, as well as any challenges you may experience. I will be there to support, guide and spur you on!
Step 5- Evaluation and Goodbyes
Once your support package ends, we will review and evaluate progress.
As with any supportive relationship, I believe it is important for an 'ending' call to conclude the support, celebrate your successes and give you the tools and information to manage future changes and challenges independently.
Step 6-
Better sleep and rested nights for you and your family
